Leviticus 20: 7 , 8.

The book of Leviticus shows us how we should live our lives so that we can walk in God's holiness. For that we need to be sanctified. That means purified and set apart from worldly desires and mundane life styles.

God sanctified the seventh day of the week so that we could worship Him on that day. God himself completed the creation in 6 days and rested on the seventh day. He wants us to do the same. Times and seasons were also sanctified. The Old Testament gives us many such instances. However, in the New Testament era, we have to be sanctified every moment of our living life. Jesus ' s sacrifice on the Cross has given us the ultimate sanctification. Through His death on the Cross, Jesus paid the price for our righteousness and holiness. He is the one to make us holy like himself. But, we need to do our part. That is to abide by his commandments. In verse 7 and 8 of Leviticus 20, God is commanding us to consecrate ourselves and be holy because He is our Lord and Saviour.

Now we who are living under his grace, have to be extra vigilant about our prayer life. The one we worship is Holy of Holies. We cannot approach Him with a careless attitude. We need to understand that there is none above our God and now His son Jesus Christ has become our emblem of holiness . He is sanctified andthrough Him we are sanctified. Hebrews 4: 15 tells us that Jesus Christ has become our High Priest. Habakkuk 1: 13 clearly explains that we are considered to be purer and we should not look upon evil things of the world. We are a generation set apart for the glory of God.

All these verses emphasize the importance of standing apart for our Lord and Saviour. This will help us glorify God's name and his kingdom. It will transform us completely. Our minds are renewed by the Holy spirit. Thus, Jehovah M'Kaddesh is the one that sanctifies us. Everyday we need to ask God for his holy cleansing through the Holy Spirit. This holy fire will purify us.

Let's invite Jehovah M'Kaddesh into our lives and let's follow His decrees. Amen and Amen.
